RUSTY's Story...
*On Adoption Hold*
RUSTY was rescued from a backyard breeder and couldn't be happier about it. No more living outside no matter what the weather for this little man! RUSTY is ready to embrace life inside the house and inside your heart! RUSTY has a way of wrapping you around his little "Chorkie" paw in seconds flat! RUSTY's soulful eyes beg you to love him completely and he has an endearing playful nature! RUSTY is 2 years old, weighs 4.5 lbs and really loves his Sister, Sadie. This bonded pair hopes to be adopted together, but understands if they must go to separate homes. RUSTY knows that as long as he has YOU - everything will be perfect in his little world!

UPDATE: We just found out that little RUSTY has heartworms. A completely preventable condition, it will unfortunately require a painful and lengthy treatment before he can go home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RUSTY, a AUSTIN Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in AUSTIN, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in AUSTIN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in AUSTIN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a AUSTIN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in AUSTIN paves the way for another one to be saved.
