SADIE's Story...
*On Adoption Hold*
Sweet, little Sadie is an absolute joy to be around! Those doe-like eyes of hers will pull you into happy-SADIE-land where all tails are wagging and love abounds! This is a much happier place than the neglect-filled, breeder's backyard where she and her brother RUSTY were confined all their short little lives. SADIE is ready to put all that behind her! At a wee 3.8 lbs, and only 2 years old SADIE holds out hope that she will get adopted with her brother RUSTY, but understands if you want to shower her with your one-on-one love instead. While she waits for you to find her, SADIE will practice her famous "jelly roll" where a slow and steady scratching from you will turn her into "jelly" and she will roll over so you can scritch her belly while she falls asleep! SADIE is truly one of a kind and can't wait for some forever-loved filled arms in which to snuggle up tight!

UPDATE: We just found out that little SADIE has heartworms. A completely preventable condition, it will unfortunately require a painful and lengthy treatment before she can go home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SADIE, a AUSTIN Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in AUSTIN, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in AUSTIN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in AUSTIN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a AUSTIN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in AUSTIN paves the way for another one to be saved.
