Sadie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sadie's Story...
Sadie came to us as an owner surrender. She is VERY sweet, loves to run in the back yard and at the dog park. She gets along wonderfully with the other residents in her foster home. She is affectionate and protective. She is eager to please and in need of daily exercise. She would be a great dog for a female runner/jogger. Her previous residence had young children and reported no issues.

Sometimes she thinks she needs to dominate other dogs so she needs an owner that can serve as her "pack leader" so she can worry less about being the alpha and spend more time being a happy dog....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Columbia Heights Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Columbia Heights, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Columbia Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
