Ricky's Story...
The story we got about this bunch was that someone allowed their cat to give birth to these 4 (?) and then put them all out (Mom, who was pregnant yet again, Dad and the 4 kittens) 2 by 2 they started to show up at one of the places we feed and maintain the feral cats. Mom and Dad were very friendly but the kittens were a little scared at first being thrown out and left to fend for themselves in a very scary big world. They are all safe and sound inside now and have all been neutered/spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP amnd rabies and are negative for feline leukemia and FIV. The poor kittens did not even know what a toy was or how to play. Now they are slowly getting the hang of being playful little kittens and not being scared to death worrying what was going to happen to them next outside! Could you give them the time and attention that they deserved from the very beginning because they are really sweet, social kittens jusy waiting to show you how much! Mom is lised under Anastasia and Dad is Marlin. Other 2 kittens are alsl listed as Walnut Street bunch (2 of 4) RITA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

About Our Rescue Group...
Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.

Our Adoption Process...
If you are interested in meeting one of our cats, you can fill out our online adoption application at www.castawaycatsde.com. Once we receive your application we will contact you with any questions we may have, and then will set up a day and time for you to meet the cat/cats. Once a match is found for your family, there is an $85 adoption fee. This fee covers spaying/neutering of your cat, worming, all shots including rabies, ear mite and flea treatment, and Feline Leukemia and AIDS testing. All adoptions are done on a trial basis so we can be sure everyone is happy. Our goal is to find the best possible cat for you and to ensure our cats have happy forever homes.
