Meow! My name is Pie
|Breed:||Calico||Color:||Calico Or Dilute Calico||Age:||Adult|
I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.
Pie got her name because the foster said she was "as sweet as pie!". She is shy at first and unsure and is not thrilled with other cats but once she relaxes she is very sweet. Poor thing was living on the streets of a very bad city neighborhoood trying to find shelter under a dilapidated deck all winter and then she got pregnant and may have had to have her babies under there until a concerned person called us. She had 5 beautiful babies inside safe and sound(all adopted) and was a very good mom. Now it is her turn! She is spayed, up to date on her FVRCP and rabies shots and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She is also a polydactyl which means she has extras toes on her front paws-very cute! *DESCRIPTION FROM LONG TIME FOSTER OF PIE* Meet Pie! She is a mostly white calico who is also polydactyl ~ which means she has extra toes on her front paws! This pretty girl was found as a pregnant stray last summer. She gave birth to three healthy babies who all found their forever homes. Poor Pie is still waiting to find hers! She is a super sweet girl who just needs to find the right home. Unfortunately Pie doesn't like other cats or dogs so she will do best as the only pet in the house. When she is stressed she gets a bit growly and grumpy, but when she is relaxed she is the sweetest little thing. She loves to play and will amuse herself with whatever she can find. Her favorite game is to "hide" in her cardboard box and then jump out and surprise people as they walk by. She is so funny to watch and she makes the cutest little chirps and purrs while she hops around after her toy mouse or ball. Right now Pie is being fostered with three other cats and she is really unhappy! All she wants is to find a home where she can be the center of someone's world. Won't you be that special someone who will make her dreams come true?? Won't you open up your home to her and give her a wonderful new life!
Rescue Group Info...
Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.
Check our website at www.castawaycatsde.com and our Castaway Cats facebook group for info concerning upcoming adoption events. All of our cats are also available to meet by appointment ~ just contact us at email@example.com for more information!
If you are interested in meeting one of our cats, you can fill out our online adoption application at www.castawaycatsde.com. Once we receive your application we will contact you with any questions we may have, and then will set up a day and time for you to meet the cat/cats. Once a match is found for your family, there is an $85 adoption fee. This fee covers spaying/neutering of your cat, worming, all shots including rabies, ear mite and flea treatment, and Feline Leukemia and AIDS testing. All adoptions are done on a trial basis so we can be sure everyone is happy. Our goal is to find the best possible cat for you and to ensure our cats have happy forever homes.
Castaway Cats is not a shelter. All of our cats are in foster homes located in Bear, De, Newark, De, Chadds Ford, PA and surrounding areas. We also have cats in the Pet Valu pet store located in Kennett Square, PA and the Concord Pets store in Newark, DE.
