Cortney's Story...
Courtney is a 3-year old female Border Collie mix. She is medium sized and weighs about 40 pounds. She is a very active girl that has lots of energy and loves to play ball...and she brings it back every time! She is good with the other dogs and the kids that she has been around at the kennel that she is currently boarded at in Chicagoland. She would love nothing more than to be in a loving home environment.

Courtney is fully vetted, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. Her $200 adoption donation benefits the rescue dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. For more information on Courtney or to get a foster or adoption application, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cortney, a Chicago Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
