Begley. A 3 year old male great dane/ greyhound/ donkey mix. He's a quirky, 70 pound lap dog and goofball. Begley came to DFW Rescue Me terrified of people and new surroundings, as he had spent most of his first year of life in a kennel with very little socialization or exposure to anything. Since then, Begs has grown into a very active, playful, eager to please, entertaining dog. He still has his moments where new people or things can spook him, but he has made amazing progress. He is crate trained, house trained, and gets along well with other dogs. Begley is a natural athlete and could be molded into a great running partner. He would do best in a home with older kids and at least one other dog to play with - particularly a confident dog to lead the way! He knows basic commands like sit and has great recall. While Begs loves to play, he is also very happy to lounge at your feet or even (attempt) to sit in your lap. He is still a bit on the shy side and may take a little time to warm up, but when he does, he is one of the coolest dogs around!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.
