Rupert's Story...
Rupert is a playful, enthusiastic, energetic and happy, 18-month-old, 60-pound, male, black and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Rupert was rescued from a shelter where he was going to be euthanized. He appears to enjoy the company of other dogs and his tail is always happily wagging. He has a healthy-looking glossy black coat with a white chest. He doesn’t have a speck of aggression, but he does jump up enthusiastically, so he’d be best in a home without small children … at least until he’s gotten some obedience and manners training.

Rupert is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly foster or adopt Rupert, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net. His adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. He is currently living in a foster home near Chicago, IL and would love to find a forever family to call his own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rupert, a Chicago American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
