Alexandria Claire's Story...
Meet Alexandria Claire!
This sweet baby is a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix puppy. She is currently 8 weeks old and current on her vaccinations. She loves to be held and is so snuggly. She loves to give puppy kisses. These puppies are working on potty training. I am keeping them in a Pack N Play playpen during the day and using potty pads. I also take them outside to a fence puppy playpen to go potty. Before adoption, she will receive 2 rounds of puppy shots, a Bordetella vaccine, health exam with health certificate, and we put Revolution on our puppies for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexandria Claire, a Glastonbury Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
