Baby Colonel's Info...

Baby Colonel's Story...
Colonel is one of two brothers we rescued from a shelter. They appear to be a mix of Beagle and Basset Hound. For sure they have hound in them - though they are not noisy dogs in the least, when they do bark, it's more of a bay. Whatever the true mix, they are definitely hounds and will be on the medium side. They are only around 4 months old and around 15 pounds each, so will probably be around 30 pounds when full grown.

Colonel is the taller of the two and is a love bug. Just a touch on the submissive side when he first meets you, he is quick to want your attention and lots of play time. He will make a great companion and playmate for his adoptive family.

Please email us at tmabrescue@gmail.com for an application and to find out how and where you can meet him and possibly adopt this handsome young man.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Colonel, a Oakley Beagle/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Oakley, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Oakley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakley paves the way for another one to be saved.
