Ruby's Story...
Meet Ruby, a beautiful two year old who loves cuddling and sitting on your lap. She loves to run and play with other small dogs and would love to be in a home with a yard. Her foster dad is working with her on her housetraining. She loves to go for walks and hang out with her human family, but she would do best in a home without small children. Ruby is looking for a forever family who can give her lots of love and attention. In return, she will shower you with devotion and loyalty. To meet Ruby, please send in your completed application found on our web page www.RescueAChi.com and we will contact you. Also check the events calendar for events near you where you can meet the adoptable dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
