Oglethorpe's Story...
Oglethorpe is one of those young cats who tucks under your chin, nuzzles, and then starts to purr. He's a very beautiful young cat who turns heads -- and his coat is SO soft. He's being cared for in a foster home with other cats, dogs, and grandchildren - he's a well rounded guy! He has a low key personality, content to stroll through the house and visit with others but he also enjoys his quiet time. Oglethorpe has very good manners at the litter pan and would adapt to almost any type home. He's a year old and FOR rescued him from a vet clinic where he was abandoned as a kitten. His adoptive home will be his first REAL home ever. To learn more about him from his foster mom, get an application, and meet him - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. His adoption fee is reduced for a limited time. Please ask for details. Oglethorpe is fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oglethorpe, a Hamburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hamburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hamburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
