Benny's Story...
Benny is 1.5 years old and weighs 55 lbs. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He is submissive to other dogs and he loves people. He was on the euthansia list at a local kill shelter after being found running stray. No one came to claim him so his fate was set. Benny loves to play and he leans into you when you pet him. If you want a dog that no one else has, Benny is the dog for you. Please contact Marla at mclabs4rescue@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Wakefield Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Wakefield, or seeking a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Wakefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
