Benny's Story...
Benny was found at the local kill shelter on the euthansia list. He was found stray and no one came to claim him. He is 1.5 years old and weighs 55 lbs. Benny is very submissive to other dogs and loves people. I have a puppy kenneled with him and the puppy pushes him around. Benny loves to play and would love to find a home where he will never go to a shelter again. If you are interested please contact Marla for an application. mclabs4rescue@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Unionville Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Unionville, or seeking a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Unionville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Unionville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Unionville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Unionville paves the way for another one to be saved.
