found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
This is one of a litter of 6 terrier mix puppies abandoned at a rural Indiana shelter when they were about 6 weeks old. The shelter immediately determined that the runt of the litter had ringworm. In cases like that, their policy is to euthanize the entire litter to prevent the spread of the fungus throughout the shelter. They do not have the space for quarantine, funds for treatment or staff for the care needed. Luckily, they did have our phone number & quickly gave us a call to see if anyone wanted to foster a litter of ringworm puppies. Who could turn down an offer like that?????
The ringworm has now been treated & the entire litter will be altered on 9/28. They will be available for adoption after 10/12, which is when they will receive their 2nd puppy vaccine. There are 2 females & 4 males. About half of them have scruffy, wire-haired coats & the others are smoother. Their adoption fee will be $200 each.
Kirby is the runt of the litter. He weighed in at 1.15# on 9/17. As of 9/30 after his surgery, Kirby weighed in at 4#. He has come a long way in foster care & he is really thriving.
Kirby was the shyest of the litter at first, but he’s over that now. He’s getting used to being handled although he really doesn’t like having his ringworm medicine put on. It’s a cold liquid, but his biggest complaint is that it is PINK. He doesn’t think that is very manly.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in adopting this dog, please EMAIL rather than call. That way your request can be forwarded to the appropriate person/foster home & an adoption application can be forwarded to you.
You must be at least 21 years of age & Head of Household in order to adopt from our organization.
