I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Meet Kate and Pippa, two beautiful sisters who were born around March 2012 and are on their journey from the busy Dallas streets to a new life of royalty. These petite girls have reached their maximum size (25-30 lbs) and are very healthy.
Kate has a shiny black coat with tan accents peeking out and white blazes on her chest. Pippa is black and brown with expressive tan eyebrows. They love to run and play together as well as with other dogs. They are sweet and gentle with cats, although they never cease in their attempts to convince the cats to play. This is how they learned "leave it!" Both girls know "sit," "stay," "come," "backup," "off" and "look at me." They are also proficient at "give" when they find something delightful to chew on that their foster mom accidentally left laying around.
Kate was clearly her sister's protector before they were rescued and is a bit reserved around new people at first. Once she is comfortable with new human friends, she becomes like velcro and loves to give kisses. Pippa is an outgoing party girl who loves to meet new people. Both pups like to fetch and play with tug toys. They also enjoy going for walks.
The girls would love to be adopted into the same home as they clearly bonded while learning to survive on the streets. As their foster mom writes this, they lay sleeping peacefully next to her on the sofa, dreaming of their forever home where they continue to be spoiled like princesses.

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
Animal Allies of Texas serves all cities and towns within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (North Texas area). We restrict adoptions to these areas so that we can do home visits to ensure the best placement for all our animals.
