Sylvester's Story...
From Sylvester's foster:
Sylvester is adorable, and his favorite thing to do, is play! Just give him toys and he will be entertained for hours. He loves to be with the other cats, and is very sweet with people. He likes attention, and likes to give back attention. Sylvester was born around 7/19/12. Black and white, hair a little longer than short. He came to me at 6 weeks, with a bad cold, and so lonely. He cried all the way from the shelter, to my home. Sylvester was given a second chance at life, as he was on the list to be...well...no more. Won't you give him a final chance to be happy forever?

All kittens are adopted in pairs unless you already have a cat or doggie at home. SAMMY AND SYLVESTER are fostered together and seem to love each other! They are live with small dogs and like them too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvester, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
