found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Petey is a 4.5 year old, 70 lb. mixed breed that was recently surrendered to our rescue by his owner. Petey's owner was heartbroken to give him to rescue, but she was losing her place to live and had no where for Petey to go.
Petey is a mellow sweetheart. He is NOT an energetic dog. He is more of a couch potato! He loves to lay with you on the couch, or in his dog bed, laying his head on a throw pillow or snuggled under a blanket.
Petey loves to go on walks and is fine when going for a ride in the car. He gets along fine with the dogs and cat in his foster home.
Petey has a negative association with crates, so when you leave the house, you can't put him in one. However, Petey is very well behaved and not destructive at all. He is also house trained.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.
In addition, this animal has been microchipped for identification purposes through HomeAgain's® Chip FurKeeps program. Adopters are required to pay the additional one-time,$10.99 microchip registration fee (which lasts the lifetime of the animal) upon adoption.
Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
