A few words from me: Hi! I'm Alvin. Despite being called an American Eskimo, I’m not one of those huge workings dogs pulling sleds across the Arctic. In fact, I’m more of a lap dog. I may have a large, wide grin, but I’m really quite small, only slightly larger than a Pomeranian. I’m also very smart, because I know a lot more than just the basic commands. My favourite pasttime is cuddling on the chaise longue with my foster mom. My second favourite is running and playing outside with my foster sister, Sammi who's a little white Maltese. My third favourite is mealtime! I've yet to meet a bowl of food or a treat that I didn't like. If you’re looking for a snuggler, who’ll make you smile and won’t make you sneeze, you’ve found him!
A few words from my foster mom:To put it simply, Alvin is an absolute charmer! He can go from cuddling on the couch one minute to romping around the backyard the next. He’s a happy dog who’s curious about everything, loves to explore and especially enjoys going for rides in the car. He has no separation issues and is perfectly crate trained. He does tend to be reactive on leash, however, and would benefit from dog training classes to help him perfect his “meet and greet” skills. Given his high intelligence and remarkable agility, I believe he’d also make a superb Rally-O (Rally Obedience) dog. One major requirement for energetic Alvin is a fully fenced-in yard, to keep his natural curiosity from causing him to stray. But along with that fenced-in yard, should come a special home, filled with special people and a special kind of love for this awesome boy.

All adoptions REQUIRE an application to be filled out. There is an online application at www.loyalrescue.com. Once you complete the application, we will call you to answer any of your questions and confirm details before proceeding. We then call your vet for a reference, and call each of the three references you list on your application. If all goes well, we visit your home to confirm this is the best possible home for the dog you are applying to adopt. If you are approved, you then fill out a contract, pay an adoption fee (between $300-$400) and adopt the dog. ALL DOGS are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered (unless too old, unhealthy or too young to do), dewormed, defleaed and health checked before going to their new home.
