A few words from me! I just love to cuddle! Lots of attention and love are my favourite pass times. I do play with my other foster bros, but I would prefer to be the main attraction! You can dress me up and take me anywhere.. but the vet of course! Running and playing outside is fun but I'm always down to snuggle up and relax with you on the chaise lounge. I'm simply one of a kind, there's no one quite like me. What can I say? The only major requirement I need is lots of love and attention!
A few words from my foster mom! What can I say about Alvin? Well, he is quite the charmer! He can go from cuddling up on the couch to romping around the backyard with his three buddies. Having Alvin in our home has given him a chance to show what he has to offer. He knows all the basic commands and then some. He has no separation issues and has been crate trained, and is very good in the car as well. Alvin is very good in the house with people and his dog buddies, but on walks Alvin has been a learning experience. Alvin would benefit from dog training classes for socialization when meeting new dogs and people on his walks. I feel Alvin would be best in a home where he is the center of attention.
Alvin is just waiting for that special someone to come along who can give him lots of attention and love.
Before you decide to bring in a furry addition to your family, please take a moment and try to think about your life over the next 10 to 15 years - or even more. Where will you be? Do you have plans to move? Travel? Have kids? Are you able to provide the dog with his or her required exercise demands? Please think very carefully about how this dog will fit into your life as new events may unfold. We want to ensure that this dog’s next home is also its last. If you’ve thought about all of the above and think that you may be the "last stop" we look forward to receiving your application! Please ensure that you submit a fully completed application. Often we receive several applications for the same dog and if you leave out important details then you may be inadvertently eliminating yourself from consideration. Please visit the FAQ section on our website for more details. Thank you so much for considering a rescued dog.

All dogs adopted from LOYAL Rescue will receive 6 weeks of free pet insurance with AdoptSecure!
LOYAL Rescue is a foster based rescue with homes located throughout the province and in the United States. We do not operate a shelter, thus do not have viewing hours. Each pet is in a private home. In order to adopt this pet, please visit our website www.loyalrescue.com and fill in our online application. If you have any questions, please email us by clicking here.
Once you submit the online adoption application, we will arrange for a volunteer to contact you to conduct the telephone interview. The same volunteer will also contact your veterinarian and personal references. If the interview and references go well, a home visit will be booked. Should you be the successful applicant for this pet, you are then welcome to come and meet the dog. You are not obligated to adopt if the fit is not correct, however we must go through this process prior to you meeting the dog.
LOYAL Rescue is 100% volunteer run.
Please read the FAQ section of the LOYAL website, prior to applying to adopt from us.

Rescue Group Info...
Although LOYAL Rescue has only been around since 2006, members of LOYAL Rescue have 40+ years of rescue involvement. Through our combined love and dedication to the dogs, we have come together to do what we can to save a life.
All adoptions REQUIRE an application to be filled out. There is an online application at www.loyalrescue.com. Once you complete the application, we will call you to answer any of your questions and confirm details before proceeding. We then call your vet for a reference, and call each of the three references you list on your application. If all goes well, we visit your home to confirm this is the best possible home for the dog you are applying to adopt. If you are approved, you then fill out a contract, pay an adoption fee (between $300-$400) and adopt the dog. ALL DOGS are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered (unless too old, unhealthy or too young to do), dewormed, defleaed and health checked before going to their new home.
We are located in Peterborough, Ontario and serve this area as well as the Kawartha's, across Ontario and even into the Norther States. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PET THOUGH as we DO NOT SHIP.
