Sherlock's Story...
Sherlock is a handsome gentleman of a cat. He looks like he is wearing a black tuxedo, with a white front and white 'gloves' on his paws! This cat loooves affection and being petted. He will follow you from room to room, and sleep on your bed! His hobbies include sleeping in his kitty bed and gazing out the window, as well as cuddling up with people. He likes to be the center of attention, but he gets along with most other cats. He doesn't like dogs too much- they make him nervous. Sherlock also enjoys playing with a variety of toys- little balls, mice and DaBird.

Sherlock is a very smart kitty, which is how he got his name. He is 1.5 years old, neutered, up to date on shots. He is an indoor-only cat, who is litter-box trained, and uses a scratching post. If you would like to give this wonderful cat a forever-home, please contact us soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherlock, a Syracuse American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Syracuse, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Syracuse.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Syracuse already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Syracuse breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Syracuse paves the way for another one to be saved.
