Misty's Story...
Misty is a gorgeous, unusual Maine Coon cat! She has the long, luxurious fur and toe-tufts typical of a Maine Coon. Her coloring is Calico, in orange, white and black patches, which looks especially striking on a Maine Coon! Misty is very friendly and sweet, you can pick her up, and she is also playful and likes talking to you. Misty is a young cat, a year old. She will not reach her full size until about 3 years old!! (She was the runt of the litter at a breeder, and was not expected to make it. She was taken in by a rescue.) This kitty gets along with most kids, but prefers to be the only pet, and to get lots of attention.

Misty is spayed, up to date on shots, and an indoor-only cat. (In the photo she's on a special outing outside!) Maine Coons do require some grooming- you must be prepared to brush her, or to take her to a professional groomer occasionally. But, a cat this beautiful and rare is worth the effort!! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Syracuse Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Syracuse, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Syracuse.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Syracuse already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Syracuse breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Syracuse paves the way for another one to be saved.
