Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell ID
Qwickie is a Chihuahua, Dachshund mix and is 6 ½ years old and just the sweetest boy you will ever meet. This cutie really loves his human and just wants to be with them and be in the room where they are. He loves, love, loves, loves belly rubs and cuddling on the couch while you watch a movie
Qwickie sleeps on his dog bed in the laundry room with his foster family’s dogs all night without a peep. He also slept with his former family in their bed under the covers at the end of the bed.
A little on the chubby side due to lack of exercise and free feeding in his previous home; he is currently on a diet and getting walked and he loves it. Qwickie loves to go for walks and he will come with a new harness and leash to help him attain a healthier weight.
His previous people also had him shaved but he has a lovely longish coat that glistens when taken care of. Qwickie has bunny soft fur and will require regular grooming to help keep his coat at its best. Qwickie is used to going to the groomer and enjoys all the praise of how handsome he is after the family picks him up from being groomed.
He does well with other dogs but needs a cat free home. House trained and trustworthy to be left alone in the home make him a great dog for most any household. Qwickie is dog door trained and will use it as needed when left for long periods of time. Qwickie is not really interested in toys but does love the company and occasional romp with another dog.
Qwickie would do well in a home who has someone home off and on all day or can take their dog to work with them. Qwickie loves kids as long as they are respectful of his size, ears and tail. With that in consideration kids over the age of 8 would be best. Qwickie would do well as a travel buddy for a couple or a single person who wants the companionship while traveling. Qwickie would also do well with a family who likes to make their pet part of family trips or outings.
