Pippa is your classic little torti and the least shy of her litter. Once she gets to know you, which usually takes less than half an hour, she’s comfortable climbing up on you and demanding attention. While Pippa does have her independent side and likes to play and run about with her brother and sister, she is destined to be a super cuddle cat. She loves being held in your arms or lying on your chest with her head tucked up under your chin. She often jumps onto my shoulder, resting there while I do work at the computer. She also loves to rub her face all over yours and give kitten kisses. Pippa is fine with other cats; she shows no fear when interacting with my 7-year-old torti and will even steal food from her while she’s eating (she’s braver then I). Pippa would make an excellent future lap cat for anyone looking for that extra-snuggly kitty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pippa-Squeak AKA Panayiota, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
