Laney is a tri-colored girl who was left at the shelter in Cobb County when heer family moved. She is incredibly sweet and an absolute joy to have in the house. The first day in her foster home, you would have thought she had been here for years giving kisses to the other two dogs and sleeping on the couch next to them. She is 100% house-trained (no crating needed) and only barks when she gets excited when playing. She is a goofy and sweet 7-year-old that enjoys her lazy time but also gets excited to play like a younger pup. Loves to cuddle on the couch next to you.

Rescue Group Info...
Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia is a non-profit, volunteer effort to save abandonded and mistreated Basset Hounds. Our rescue effort began in 1991, and we have rescued over 2,500 Bassets since that time. Orginally privately funded by two volunteers, today BHRG is a non-profit charitable organization which exists solely on donations.
Orphaned Bassets are held in foster care until permanent, loving homes can be found.
Adoptions are held each weekend of the month at locations in metro-Atlanta. See our website at www.bhrg.org for specific dates and locations.
A $200 adoption donation is required for dogs under 8 years of age. A $100 donation is required of dogs 8 years old and older. This donation defrays the cost of shots, spay/neuter, heartworm treatments, and other vet costs.
Orphaned Bassets are held in foster care until permanent, loving homes can be found.
Adoption events are held each weekend at Petsmart or Petco locations in metro-Atlanta. See our website at www.bhrg.org for specific dates and locations.
Visit our website at http://www.bhrg.org/adoption.htm and download an adoption application. Once complete, it can be mailed or faxed per the instructions on the application. Once the application is approved, a pre-adoption home visit is required for families outside the metro-Atlanta area. Post-adoption visits are required of families with approved applications. Once the application is received & approved, a volunteer will call to help you select the right hound for your lifestyle.
The state of Georgia. We will adopt to families in other states if they have contacted their local rescue first.
