Duke's Story...
Duke is an AMAZING dog! He is a Whippet/Black Lab mix, about a yr old. He sleeps in his crate at night, and whenever he wants a nap. He surprised me when he went in on his own the first night, and yesterday I found him snoozing in there mid morning! He is potty trained and gets along excellent with other dogs, big & small. He will not even think about jumping on the furniture! We took him for a walk yesterday, and he does awesome on a leash. He is basically the perfect dog! I can't imagine someone NOT wanting him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Alliance Whippet/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Labrador Retriever for sale in Alliance, or seeking a Whippet/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Alliance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alliance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alliance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Whippet/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alliance paves the way for another one to be saved.
