Kara's Story...
Meet Kara, this lovely girl is from Pinal county where she was brought in as a stray. Just one look at Kara and you will see she has had a hard life. A jagged scar reaches all the way around poor Kara's neck from an Embedded collar she must have had when she was young. She was red carded the day we went to Pinal, and the poor girl had only been there a couple weeks. She was the sweetest thing in her kennel, tilting her head and licking my hands through the wire gate. I knew right away this girl deserved a new life. Here in foster she is still as sweet as ever, though maybe a little more cautious with strangers. She warms up quickly once she knows you don't mean to harm her. She is not a very active dog, more mellow and likes to take strolls around the neighborhood. If Kara sounds like the dog you have been looking for she is still waiting for the right home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kara, a Scottsdale Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
