Luca's Story...
Luca is a handsome boy who really wants a home. He's smart, friendly, affectionate, respectful, and eager to please. He learns quickly and responds easily to direction. In his foster home, he has lived with cats and other dogs, learning to live in a group. But his real desire is for human love and attention.

Luca was about 5 months old when he came to Paw Placement. We don't know much of his history, but he had evidently been on his own since an early age, probably scavenging for food. He had an old break in one hind leg that had never been treated, causing concern at first that it might have to be amputated. The injury is barely noticeable now, although he will probably always favor that leg a little. Luca has survived a lot, but he's still a happy pup. Adoption will make him even happier.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luca, a Flagstaff German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Flagstaff, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Flagstaff.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flagstaff already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flagstaff breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flagstaff paves the way for another one to be saved.
