My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If this dog doesn't steal your heart...
Rance is a wonderful 4 year old male Boston Terrier who has not had it easy in the first four years of his life; his owners neglected him and he now has sight in only one eye but it is good vision and is not expected to change. His family surrendered him because he was "going blind" and they didn't have the time to deal with it - the fact that he is blind in one eye is most likely due to neglect, as he had some old scarring in the eye, either from injury or infection left untreated. He has recently had surgery on the eye that may or may not help; we can't know for sure just yet. His vision will most likely never be any better that what it is now-very little in one eye but quite a bit in the other eye. He doesn't run into things but gets startled easily by bugs flying close to his head, the poor little guy.

He has learned house training very quickly. He has never gone in his cage and makes haste for the door when his foster mom let's him out.

This boy deserves a home where he will be loved and cherished. He is a friendly little guy even though he has not been shown a lot of kindness.

Rance is neutered and vaccinated and ready for his new home.

Rance is currently in a foster home in Memphis, TN and will not travel to our area until we have an approved, committed adopter for him. We are a network of rescuers that are working to reduce the euthanization rate of the shelters in that area. We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen can seem like a stressful prospect...but we have over 250 dogs and 250 happy families that will tell you that it all worked out just fine! Every dog is temperament tested to ensure a good match for them and their new families.
