Ellie's Story...
Ellie is a sweet, playful black lab mix that loves to run and play with the dogs at her foster home. She enjoys chasing balls and playing tug of war with her rope. She is young so she has some puppy energy, but she is mild mannered, listens well and calms quickly after getting attention and activity. Ellie would do great with an active couple or a family with children where she could run and play. Ellie is around 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. She is a medium-sized girl and we don‘t expect that she‘ll grow anymore. She has a beautiful, shiny black coat with a small white marking on her chest, and she has big brown eyes.

Ellie is extremely affectionate and craves attention, and she'll be your best friend if given time to get to know you! She came into our group with her sister who was adopted to a great home, and we are hoping for the same for Ellie! Please contact stephanie.blaylock@gmail.com if you're interested in giving this lovable lab the great forever home she deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Unionville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Unionville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Unionville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Unionville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Unionville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Unionville paves the way for another one to be saved.
