Mindy's Story...
This is Mindy! Mindy is a yellow Labrador Retriever mix who was born around mid-April. She is a very pretty & friendly puppy who really enjoys being around other pups. We believe Mindy will be a medium size dog when full grown. Mindy is current on her vaccinations and is already spayed and ready to join her new family. Mindy recently went into foster care with Laura and she is working on house and crate training. She will need some help from her new family in order to complete her training.

You can meet Mindy on Saturdays at PetSmart at 115th & Metcalf from Noon to 3pm or if you would like more info about Mindy, contact her foster mom, Laura, at fostermom@k9s4me.com.

Thanks for considering adopting a homeless animal! This bio was last updated on 22JUL07.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mindy, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
