My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is my name, being your best friend is my aim. This boy would certainly live up to his name as he is a very awesome, handsome, low to medium energy purebred boy who loves his people and life. Buddy is about 2 years old and on the smaller side for a boy weighing about 50–55 lbs. Bud had a bit of a setback a few months ago when he was hit with the fungal disease Blastomycosis aka, Blasto, a fungus that is inhaled from the soil and prevalent in the farmlands of the Midwest. The fungus attacked his left eye and destroyed it within a matter of a few days. Buddy received the very best in medical care and is now free of the disease and thriving. Although he is blind in one eye, he is still his sweet happy self and loving life and doesn’t realize that he is different. He is a very special boy. Buddy loves to play and romp with his canine foster siblings and settles down very nicely after playtime, he takes treats very gently and he does great on the leash. He is also pretty good with the kitties, but would like to play with them too. Buddy would love nothing more than to have a wonderful family to call his very own. He would be a great companion for any family, as he has been well socialized with men, women and older children. Buddy would make a great walking/hiking companion and just be the best buddy ever.
Buddy is neutered, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. He is also on flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative and is crate trained. If you are interested in learning more about this really great boy, please indicate Buddy in the notes section of the online application
