Rushmore's Story...
Name: Rushmore
Age: 2 years
Breed: Weimaraner
Gender: Male
Rushmore is a two year old Weimaraner who came from an outlying animal control. He was very undernourished, sickly, and scared when he arrived, but is doing much better with a high-quality diet and vet care. Rushmore does wonderfully with other dogs and would probably do best in a home with another dog for company. He isn’t very high energy, especially for a Weimaraner, and is a gentle giant. His confidence is blooming, but he still needs a soft approach- the slightest of corrections is enough to get his attention!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rushmore, a Greensboro Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
