Bumper**Foster Needed**'s Story...
Bumper was hit by a car. Luckily this happened in front of the director of OpEd who immediately picked him up and rushed him to the vet. Bumper needed several surgeries and blood transfusions to fix the many broken bones and internal bleeding. He is now healthy enough for a new foster home. He loves to eat and is 95% house trained. He loves other dogs, cats, and, most of all, toys. He still is not allowed to really play in the yard or run because he is still healing. If you have room in your home and heart to foster him during this healing time, please let us know!

**OpEd does not adopt out outdoor pets**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bumper**Foster Needed**, a Christiana Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Christiana, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
