Karina's Story...
Karina is a very sweet girl who loves to snuggle up close to you to get a warm hug and a reassuring stroking. Initially quite scared, this beautiful putty-colored pit bull (who is admittedly a little heavy around the middle) has begun to show us her easy-to-be-with manner, both with respect to people and other dogs. She seems quite amiable around her fellow canines, and has not demonstrated aggressiveness of any sort. With people, just being around them seems to be good enough for this girl—from the moment she leaves her kennel, her tail goes back and forth, displaying her heart’s content, as she enjoys being in the fresh air and sunshine with her new human best-friend. Karina doesn’t pull or try to overwhelm you with her strength; instead, she will take her cues from her human companion and go just as fast or as slow as you’d like to. This good-natured girl is definitely one of our pit bull lapdogs—who would probably be just as comfortable curling up on the couch with you, as she would going for a run with you—in fact, maybe even a little more so.

Act quickly to adopt Karina. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karina, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
