King's Story...
6 year old, tri male who is very people focused and can be stubborn at times. King needs to have a job or be exercised daily as he is still full of energy. King is very respectful on leash and does not pull much. King is a large basenji, weighing in at close to 30 pounds and he stands tall and proud. Although King gets along with almost all other dogs, he will need to meet any resident canines prior to making a final adoption decision. King loves cats! King, even though he is on the larger size, is very gentle with cats and enjoys spending time with the cats in the cat room.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Seminole Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Seminole, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Seminole.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seminole already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seminole breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seminole paves the way for another one to be saved.
