found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
He is house- and crate-trained, and is very good with basic commands. He learns quickly and is very responsive and interactive. Now that he’s feeling better, he has a fair bit of energy, and is the perfect walking/jogging partner. He is very good on leash and is learning not to pull. He loves to run and will do great with an active family!
Charlie is in remission from an autoimmune disease called pemphigus foliaceus. This means that his immune system can attack the outer layer of his skin, causing scaly, crusty skin and footpads. It is a rare, but very manageable disease, and low doses of steroids keep Charlie happy, healthy and full of life! He’ll need annual blood draws and a loving, attentive family to just watch for any changes. He is neutered and has all his shots.
It took a while for his diagnosis since it was masked by demodex manage. Charlie’s paws were very crusty and it was hard for him to walk. Despite the months he battled this, his spirit was never dampened! He was just as a patient with us as we were with him as we figured out and treated the cause of his symptoms.
It’s been amazing to watch Charlie blossom before our eyes into an incredible, fun, loving, and just simply wonderful companion.
