Kentucky is a 3+ year old mix with a ton of love and happiness to give! Even though he may be a big guy in size, he still has a lot of "puppy" mannerisms that make him hard to resist. A very playful friend, he would excel as a solo dog in a forever home that was just for him!
While he has a few of the basics down (i. e. house broken, kennel trained, sit and stay), with some patience and consistency, he shows all the signs of wanting the challenge of learning more. Leash walks are still a work in progress, but with some guidance, he'll be there in no time. But no worries, car rides he has down perfectly! He's not a fan of crowds or commotion, so if you have a nice quiet place and you are ready to be a leader to a dog that will soon become your new best friend, then take a look at Kentucky.  You'll be rewarded with devotion and commitment that is hard to replace!

Approximate Birthdate:  Sept. 2010

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
