Remmington's Story...
Remington is a 1 ½ year old Newfoundland. He weighs 105 pounds and needs to
gain some weight. He was owner surrendered to a rural shelter because he
jumped his owners 4 foot fence and went out to visit the neighbors. So he
needs a tall fence! Remington is very social with adults, children and
other dogs. he loves to play, ride in the car and go for leash walks. He's
a Newfi, so he slobers. Just keep some towels handy and love this gentle
giant. Remington is in a boarding kennel, so he needs a foster or a forever
home.

If you are interested in meeting this handsome gentle giant.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remmington, a Richmond Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
