I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Bob is a terrier mix who was surrendered to Safe Harbor in March of 2009 when his owner lost his home due to financial issues. Bob is cautious of strangers, but once he gets to know you, he is quite the companion. Bob is approximately nine years old but still very active and full of energy. Bob would need a quiet adult only home with no other pets.

Shelter Info...
Safe Harbor was founded in 1985 and was the second humane organization in the state of Florida to open a low-cost spay / neuter hospital. With between 7-10 million animals a year being killed in our nation’s shelters, Safe Harbor’s mission first and foremost has always been to reduce the over population of unwanted pets in our community. We do not believe that euthanasia is the answer to dealing with the pet over population crisis. Our charitable hospital offers low-cost spay / neuter services and medical assistance for everyone and free services for pet owners who are on disability, social security or who are experiencing financial hardships. We have sterilized over 75,000 animals over the past 24 years, preventing hundreds of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born and thousands more from being needlessly destroyed. Safe Harbor has never turned an animal in need of medical care due to their owner’s inability to pay.
A few years after establishing the charitable hospital, Safe Harbor opened one of the only true no-kill shelters in South Florida. The shelter reserves it’s space for animals who have been abused, neglected, injured and abandoned. No breed is discriminated against, any animal in need is given shelter at Safe Harbor. We are a charity surviving on donations alone, and our capacity is limited. For the welfare of the resident animals, we cannot exceed our capacity. Cages are not vacated by routine euthanasia. They become available only through adoption.
