NOVA *courtesy post*'s Story...
Meet NOVA! This strikingly handsome and unique fellow is looking for a new start with a family who can give him all the love and affection he deserves!

Nova's leg is currently healing from an injury caused by an abusive former owner. Despite what he has been through, Nova is gregarious and happy. He loves to spend time with kids and other dogs! He would best suit a home with older kids due to his energy level. He has such a beautiful silver coat, with wisps and dashes of black. To complete his look, he even has one silvery blue eye!

Nova is under one year old, medium-sized, and appears to be an Akita or Husky mix. He is neutered, and up to date on all his shots. If you are interested in welcoming Nova into your family, please contact Colleen at saveadogaday@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NOVA *courtesy post*, a Jersey City Akita/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita/Husky for sale in Jersey City, or seeking a Akita/Husky dog from a breeder in Jersey City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jersey City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jersey City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita/Husky breeders who help with Akita/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jersey City paves the way for another one to be saved.
