Meet Smokey - handsome, small, adorable and only for those of you who enjoy a spunky doggie. He is smart and cute and he knows it. He does well with other dogs and loves to go on walks and runs. He is one of the very few dogs that we have ever had that truly enjoys being in the yard under shade and hanging out in the dogloo. He sleeps inside but when the sun comes up he eats his breakfast and wants to go outside and hang out for a bit. A home with a doggie door would be GREAT. He loves to learn and he would do well with a family who wants to teach him new things as he enjoys a challenge. He would do best in a home with dog savvy adults who want a cute, small doggie that they can teach new tricks to .

We are located in the San Diego area and pull dogs from southern California shelters and we assist families in rehoming their pets so that they don't have to go to a shelter.
I started doing rescue because I couldn't stand to see adoptable dogs being euthanized due to lack of an immediate home. I knew that I could find them good homes.

Potential families are asked to complete or Adoption Application before visiting our dogs. We introduce you and your family including any other dogs/cats in your family to our adoptable dogs. If the meeting is a good match we will schedule a home check to ensure that the home is a good match for the pet that you have selected. You will then be asked to complete our Adoption Agreement and to finalize the adoption there will be a processing fee to adopt a pet from us. All proceeds go directly back to help support our rescue and there are no paid employees so all fees are used for our pets waiting to be adopted.
