Nittany's Story...
Meet Nittany! She is 9 year old AKC registered pure bred golden retriever. Her owners felt that because of long work schedules they could not longer give her the life she deserves. Foster mom reports that Nittany LOVES attention and soft, fluffy toys. She wants to be petted, rolls over for belly rubs, and likes to play tug of war with her toys. When she gets super excited she becomes mouthy and will put your arm in her mouth, lick, or bite your clothing and not let go. She has no trouble getting up and down our stairs in the house either. She likes her foster canine sister, but doesnt really try to play with her. She likes to follow her outside running behind her. She also bark/howls at us when we are playing with her, which is very endearing to watch - basically Nittany's foster family never stops laughing and loving every minute of her. . Nittany is house trained and can be left alone in the house without a crate! She is also very healthy very a senior girl. She also was raised with small children and adores them! Nittany could be the worlds perfect golden! If interested in Nattany please visit our website

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nittany, a Knoxvillle Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxvillle, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxvillle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxvillle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxvillle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxvillle paves the way for another one to be saved.
