All of our dogs are in foster homes and we have no paid staff. If you have questions concerning a specific dog, PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch. We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs until your application is processed. Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments. Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants. The adopter will be chosen at that time. The process can take anywhere from a week to a month. We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!
Hello my name is Patches and I'm adorable! Once I trust you I will give you tons of kisses and lots of love! It takes me a while to warm up to people so I won't give you kisses when I first meet you it will take me a few days. I would love to go to my forever home with Miley. We love each other and are very good together. We play and run and just have a great time!
2nd Chance is in desperate need of fosters so we can bring more dogs that may only have a day left to breathe. Wont you consider opening your heart and home to a furry one that needs a break? We promise they will give you more love than you can imagine!!
Please understand we do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A dog is a lifetime commitment. The dogs in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners :( We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the dog is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a foster network. Our goal is to find our precious little ones their "forever families" where they will live out the rest of their lives. Your dog is a part of your family and should be treated as such. You don't give away your children and neither should your loyal pet be dispensable! All our dogs must be altered before adoption. Spay/Neuter is the only way to stop the senseless overpopulation we have now. Our hope is one day with education we will live in a society where shelters are not a necessity and no animal will die just for lack of space!

Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have no shelter or kennel. AFTER filling out a application the foster will contact you.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption donation ranges from 250 - 500 depending on the age of the dog and breed. We require the potential adopter to meet the dog and introductions must be made if the adopter has other pets. We do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 4. You must own your own home. If the dogs page says requires fence it must be a physical fence When you go to our site www.2ndChance4LifeRescue.org and click on the dog you are interested in you will see under the dogs photo a line that says "wont you consider adopting me" click on the adopt button and the application will come up.
