Sasha's Story...
Sasha is a gorgeous Russian Blue, 3 years old, front declawed and a bit overweight. She is a bit skittish with new people, but once she warms up, she is very friendly, and will love you forever if you give her catnip. She loves to play and snuggle, but not be picked up. She prefers to lay next to you on the couch and be petted. She will snuggle in your lap, and will sleep next to you in bed. Sasha loves to play with cat toys and bottle caps and can amuse herself for hours. She loves being brushed, chasing a laser pointer, and sitting in the windowsill and watching birds. She gets on great with older kids and ignores younger ones; she is not fond of dogs or other cats.

Sasha is spayed, vaccinated and declawed. She's had her heart broken twice in a year (surrendered by her original owner and separated from her buddy, and then abandoned by her adopter). She is understandably stressed and scared, but her foster home has already worked wonders in the short time they have had her! Sasha will need a calm, definitely "furrever" home without many changes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Bentonville Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Bentonville, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Bentonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bentonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bentonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bentonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
