Lady Ma's Story...
Lady Ma was rescued from a kill shelter. She had a litter of kittens who got adopted and she was sitting there waiting to be killed. She had a cold and eye infection. She was safe with us although we were not able to save her eye - it was removed by our vet as conjunctivitis was too advanced. It does not seem that her depth perception suffered as a result. She is playful, happy, affectionate cat who loves to investigate shopping bags, chase kittens (and give them loving licks) and look out the window. Lady Ma likes other cats and adores people. She is well behaved and beautiful. In fact her coat looks like she is abyssinian. She is about 1-5 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Ma, a Brooklyn Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
