Dasher's Story...
Dasher lived on the street for 10 years having litter after litter of kittens, most of which were killed by cars. She was being fed dog food. When we became aware of the situation, Dasher was 12 hours away from giving birth to 7 kittens. She needed help with the delivery as well as for caring for her kittens. Now that she is finished caring for her kittens, it’s time for Dasher to enjoy her life. Dasher enjoys curling up for naps and watching the birds at the window. She likes to play with her favorite mice toys and loves catnip. Dasher is quiet and reserved, but loves to be petted and cuddle up in bed with you at night. She has a very loud purr and kneads the blankets. After living so long as a stray outside, she deserves to be spoiled. Dasher has tested negative for FELV/FIV, she is spayed and vaccinated. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dasher, a Speonk Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Speonk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Speonk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Speonk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Speonk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Speonk paves the way for another one to be saved.
