Traci's Story...
Traci, a long hair beauty had such a bad infection in her teeth that it was actually coming out under her eye. Just imagine the pain this sweetie was in….. Dental health is so important for your dogs. She is ready for her forever home, someone who can be strict with her diet as she is a few pounds overweight (she should be 4 to 5 lbs) and extra weight can also be hard on their legs. Her coat is so soft you will love to brush her and she loves to be carried and pampered. If you would like to meet Traci check out the events button on our web site www.RescueAChi.com and come meet her and some of the other dogs we have that are looking for that special home to call their own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Traci, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
