Bud!'s Story...
Bud is looking for a great new home! His prior home didn't have time for him and he was kept outside 24/7. He is a beautiful purebred yellow lab and is about 6mos old and 45lbs or so. Even though Bud's prior family didn't spend alot of time with him, he is very social and happy. Since we have taken him in, he has done great on a sleepover with several other dogs big and small, some who are friendly and some who are grumpy. Bud loved them all and played nonstop with the friendly ones! Although he was actively playful, he did settle just fine in a crate. Bud would love a family who understands what it takes to add a puppy, especially a lab puppy, to their home. His new home will need to be prepared for puppy behavior such as chewing and have the patience to manage that and other possible negative behaviors that come with a growing pup. Bud is good with kids and cats as well!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bud!, a Sacramento Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
