Elphaba's Story...
**Elphaba is a courtesy post and is not part of Operation Education. If you have any questions about her or are interested in making her part of your family, please contact Natalie at natalie.r.bradley@gmail.com**

Elphaba (Elphie for short) is a Jack Russell and Border Collie Mix. Her dad is a Border Collie and her mom a jack Russell. Elphie is 4 years old and is famed to be the smartest dog her foster mom has ever met. She can catch onto any new trick or command with ease. She loves to run and play and loves other dogs, especially little breeds! She's never been around a cat so it's unknown how she would be with them. Elphie loves kids and all humans! She would prefer a big yard and a family to play with. She's always happy and a great guard dog! She loves her dog bed and cuddling up on the couch! Elphaba is already spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elphaba, a Christiana Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Christiana, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
