Cockatiel siblings's Story...
This small family of cockatiels was surrender to the parrot society for fostering. Some of them are very friendly and others are less so. We would like to adopt them out in pairs so that the family is not completely broken up. We'd also welcome an adopter who was interested in all of them. They are currently being fostered in East Greenbush, NY.

There is no adoption fee for the cockatiel family however potential adopters will need to fill out an application, schedule a home visit and meet the cockatiels to ensure compatibility. Please email for an application or go directly to our website: www.crparrots.org to fill out the online form.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cockatiel siblings, a Latham Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in Latham, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in Latham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Latham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Latham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Latham paves the way for another one to be saved.
